This is the first course project for IMT 4314 Methods in User-Centered Design, to develop a weighing machine that helps to keep track of an important health metric. User-centered research methods such as focus group, card sorting, collaborative workshop were conducted to gain better insight of users’ needs of a weighing machine.
Personas and scenarios benefit the team to understand the needs of target users and also as a guideline throughout the design process. Affinity diagramming and morphological analysis were carried out to get insights from the research and structured inventory of possible design solutions.
